OpenStudy (kaitlyn_nicole):

Symptoms: subjective changes not observable from outside Signs: measurable observable changes

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Touching up on what the previous OS studier said.A symptom is a potential indication of a disorder, illness, or something that lays beside those lines. A mere, suggestive piece of evidence that can lead to a sign. Like a mere cough or forming rash. A SIGN of an illness could be observed and noted changes that occur regularly USUALLY diagnosed by a doctor, and not the patient. Say for instance, coughing alot, blood tends to occur, etc. http://www.differencebetween.net/science/health/difference-between-signs-and-symptoms/ This link sums it up perfectly. -@MissSmartiez

I'm not exactly sure but i think "Symptom" can only be felt by the patients. For an example the headache. Doctor can't see or feel it , only you can feel it so inform the doctor about ur symptom Sign is something the doctor or any other person see including the patient.

OpenStudy (rushwr):

for an example fever
