NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

If the number of protons in an atom is greater than the number of electrons in the same atom, the overall charge of the atom would be: negative neutral positive unable to be determined without more information @hartnn @mathstudent55 @TheSmartOne @Jadeishere @Donblue22 @.Sam.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

mhmm, usually an atom has equal numbers of protons and electrons, right?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

and when it has equal numbers of protons and electrons, it's overall charge is neutral so if you get rid of an electron, you're tipping the balance. There will be more protons than electrons so will the overall charge become positive or negative?

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Positive!

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Bingo! :D
