OpenStudy (natasha18):

The answer is [-1, -4] i think..??

OpenStudy (natasha18):

But i'm not sure how to explain how i got the answer

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

You do have square brackets to include the equal. I'd start with -4, so I'd write [-4, -1]

OpenStudy (natasha18):

okay... but why is that the answer? I'm supposed to explain how i got the answer

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

You use the numbers of the beginning and end of the interval from left to right. If the = is included, you use square brackets. If the = is not included, you use parentheses.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Interval from -4 to -1. Including -4 and -1. [-4, -1]

OpenStudy (natasha18):

okay thanks!
