Tony is training to run a marathon. He has already run 2 miles today and is running additional miles at 6 miles per hour. Write an equation that represents the miles, M, that Tony runs, where h represents the number of hours. A M = 6h + 2 B.M = 6h – 2 C.M = 2h + 6 D. M = –2h + 6

`Tony is running a marathon. He has already ran 2 miles.` Since Tony has already ran 2 miles that would be left alone like this in an equation.... \(\huge{M=2}\) Now `he runs an additional miles at 6 miles per hour` that would mean in one hour he runs 6 miles or we can make it look like \(\large{6h}\). So our equation would then look like... \(\huge\color{red}{M=6h+2}\)

Thank you!
