please someone help me! In a response of two-three sentences, explain how the following lines contribute to Beowulf's characterization as a hero. "The liege–kinsman worthy Of Higelac minded his speech of the evening, Stood he up straight and stoutly did seize him. His fingers crackled; the giant was outward, The earl stepped farther."

Yeah I have little to no clue... I only know some parts of beowulf, and I know what the excerpt is referring to, but I'm not sure if it would help you with this really..
well do you know whats happening in the excerpt? Like, who's who.
Owh, okiez! This: "The liege–kinsman worthy Of Higelac minded his speech of the evening, Stood he up straight and stoutly did seize him. Is referring to what Beowulf boast's to Hrothgar, about him being qualified to fight zee monstah, Grendel, nd stuff. Beowulf is like 'yo, since i said that, ig i gotta go monster killing now"
Idk if that helps at all or not.. I'm not good with words.
Okay, yea this helps a lot, also supposed to use a little snip of the excerpt, so would "Stood he up straight and stoutly did seize him" work best for the example?
I believe that would work well. Throughout Beowulf, Beowulf boasts a lot, so I think this starts to characterize his heroicism because he keeps up with his boasting, if that makes sense?
Yepp that pretty much covers the question, thankssssssssss
gimme a medal XD
boom
but you are whalecom
