OpenStudy (beaberry):

Which equation represents this sentence? One-half the sum of a number and four is three less than the quotient of five and the number. A. 1/2n+4=3−5/n B. 1/2(n+4)=5/n−3 C. 1/2(n+4)=3−5/n D. 1/2n+4=5/n−3

OpenStudy (itsbribro):

so you know 1/2 would come first in the sentence. than sum means adding. I explained this weird but if you were to multiply 1/2 and n+4 you you put them next to each other like in D and A. so those are not your answers. it would either be B or C. it says "three less than the quotient of five and the number." I hope this helped in some way.
