Function question

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

#3

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

I'm not really sure what they meant so I inversed the function but i don't think that helps much

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

would it be something as simple as you cant switch x and y?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

@campbell_st

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

which question is it..?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

#3

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

Just reading the information, the domain is normally in terms of a(x) or y... your range needs seems to be written in terms of x.

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

i don't get why the domain would normally be i nterms of y

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

I thought the question asked for the range.... so the range is the output values when the domain is input. so the range is normally expressed in terms of y or a(x)

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

they said that the range in example was in terms of y, but if someone changed it to terms of x

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

question 3 is asking if thats okay

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so the point I'm trying to make is, .... is it ok the express the range in terms of x...? given it is the output values

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

maybe? wouldn't that affect the whole function? unless you are allowed to just switch x and y?

|dw:1473382711821:dw|This is not a big deal, just something to note :) You have this weird bracket in a lot of your domains and ranges.
