Did the guild system change women’s role in the economy? No, although many women became professionals, they were not paid enough to affect the economy. No, women mostly stayed home and very few received wages of any kind for services performed. Yes, guilds opened membership to both men and women and paid them equally for the same tasks. Yes, women were encouraged to join guilds and could perform many tasks and services.

OpenStudy (kimberly_pr):

OpenStudy (kimberly_pr):

Analyze the painting, focusing on the interactions between people illustrated. Using specific examples from the painting, describe how the painting reflects economic and social changes in medieval Europe. Your answer should be a minimum of two to three sentences.

OpenStudy (blazeryder):

OpenStudy (kimberly_pr):

OpenStudy (kimberly_pr):

Does this show the relationship between Guilds and their Feudal Lords?

OpenStudy (kimberly_pr):

Oh yeah, becasue the Guilds seen there are probably potter, and they're the ones bringning the plates to the table

OpenStudy (blazeryder):

I would post this as a new question so people can actuality see it. Then maybe someone can help you out since it seems that @wwhitlock has stepped away from the computer.

OpenStudy (kimberly_pr):

I figured it out, dw @wwhitlock

OpenStudy (kimberly_pr):

I wrote about the jobs of the Guilds in the picture

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

It's a scene of medieval commerce. You've got a boot maker, cloth retailer and probably traders selling metal ware. The metal guys are dressed well and have a display of different kinds of metal goods. They are not likely to be the makers. They are talking to each other about trade or making money or what town they will go to next. The cloth store is likely run by traders too. it shares a table with the metal store. They have cabinet for the cloth that they likely take from town to town. The woman with him is probably the trader's wife or local gf. The boot guy is probably the maker. There are boot lasts on the wall. His place looks more permanent. The cloth guy and boot gut are making deals. The guy buying from the boot guy may be a trader. He's already been to the metal guys and seems well dressed. The guy in orange looks to be a monk/ He has the tonsure or bald spot cut into his hair. The two guys on the right are talking about what a great deal they got.

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

Sorry, I had to leave for a few in the middle of writing. hope it helps.
