The moon’s gravity is 1/6 that of the earth. If I jumped straight up in the air on the moon and on Earth, which place would I be able to jump higher?

OpenStudy (<3pandas18):

a. The moon Answer _D b. The Earth c. It would be the same height at each place d. Not enough information

OpenStudy (osprey):

The moon by about 6 times higher, maybe. I think that years ago, some USA astronauts actually did something like that on the moon ... maybe hit a golf shot, and lost the ball to the moon - it went, possibly a couple of miles. No air resistance, and very low gravitational force. http://perendis.webs.com
