QUESTION: When combining like terms, do you add exponents? Let's say you're adding 2^3 and 5^3. Would you're answer just be 7^3 or 7^6? I'm really confused about this an would really love if someone would help!

Okay so your problem would look like this \[2^3+5^3\] Right?
yes :)
I just need to know if the exponents would look like 7^3 or 7^6? Do I add the exponents or leave them alone?
Why you did not try by yourself :) You will find your answer
I'm asking about a concept, not an actually question.

So, let's say if you don't have a variable you dont add the exponents. The terms were 2x^3 and 5x^3 because then it would be 7x^3.
Thank you! That's all I needed to know!
