OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):
like the last time you need to find a common denominator, to do that you need to find the lowest number they both can go into the same amount of times. that number would be 12.
OpenStudy (katherinkoon):
ok 12

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):
both numbers in the first fraction must be multiplied by two because 6 goes into 12 two times. next you have to multiply the numbers in the other fraction 3/4 by 3 because 4 goes into 12 3 times.
OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):
so the new problem is 10/12 + 2 9/12
OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):
next you have to add the two fractions first so you can see if you will get an improper fraction
OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):
after adding the answer should be 2 19/12
OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):
its an improper fraction so you have to turn it into a whole number.
