Graphing of the sine and cosine functions

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

\[y=2\sin (\frac{ \pi }{ 2 }x)\] I use the table to solve it but my question is when do you use radians for the start or degrees.

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

@Nnesha @Kainui @agent0smith

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Generally use radians for these.

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

My teacher uses a graph and i am using it and when i put like lets say' y=2cos(1/2x) I have the graph 0 pi / 2 When you plug in (pi/2) into the equation it suppose to give you the 'Y' but i get a decimal and the cos of (PI/4) is (squareroot 2/2) times 2 is just squareroot2

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

How about you graph that

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

What's wrong with a decimal? You can graph a decimal...

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

Wait nvm

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

I was thinking something different
