percent error

OpenStudy (ageta):

do you know how to find percent error for best results

OpenStudy (ageta):

@welshfella @ganeshie8 @Nnesha

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

Percent error = relative error × 100

OpenStudy (ageta):

how do you find relative error :)

OpenStudy (ageta):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Na29iurC1mM

OpenStudy (welshfella):

that video tells you

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

Absolute error/actual value

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

It is the formula for relative error

OpenStudy (welshfella):

yes

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

Absolute error = calculated value - actual value

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

As the name indicates the value of absolute error will always remain positive.

OpenStudy (ageta):

brb

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

From my Chemistry classes I can safely assume that this is the formula used in THOSE class subjects for Percent Error.\[\left(\frac{experimental-theoretical}{theoretical}\right)\times100\]

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

You can also say experimental is the value you got, and theoretical is the value they give.
