@agent0smith , @whpalmer4

OpenStudy (ltrout):

I'm thinking it would be B.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Why do you think that? Show work and i'll check.

OpenStudy (ltrout):

I'm using the desmos grapher online and I just inputted each of these (3y=x+5, 2x=0, 6y=10) and it gave me x=0, y=1.66666 which I know is 1 2/3 or 5/3, so I figured it'd be (0, 5/3)

OpenStudy (will.h):

why can't you check each option and see if it would equal the corresponding value.

OpenStudy (will.h):

works everytime

OpenStudy (will.h):

explanation i will try option B 3 * 5/3 = 0 + 5 which is correct 5 = 5 2* 0 = 0 which is correct 0=0 6 * 5/3 = 10 which is correct 10 = 10 So it is B indeed

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

It's really easy without a calculator. Look at the bottom two equations: 6y=10 was one, and you deleted it now anyway...

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

If you can't solve 2x=0 and 6y=10 without a calculator, then good luck in this class. You're going to need it.

OpenStudy (marcelie):

loool

OpenStudy (ltrout):

@agent0smith I was totally not even thinking when I posted this question. I was behind in precal and so I've been doing math for about the last 5 hours and didn't even realize this was an easy problem until I posted it. Guess this is what happens when teachers throw in super basic questions halfway through 40 question tests lol. Sorry about that.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

lol yeah it's really easy. You don't even need the top equation 3y=x+5

OpenStudy (ltrout):

@agent0smith Yeah I seen that. The other questions weren't hard but they were multiple step and I got to this one and was like there's no way it's this easy and was basically second guessing myself. I feel like an idiot now but oh well!
