OpenStudy (gilbert_taylor):

If the DNA content of a diploid cell in prophase I is x, what would it be for the same cell at prophase II?

OpenStudy (naren):

On prophase ll it will be x/2 for the same cell because it is undergoing meiosis cell division .

OpenStudy (habbababba1):

Meiosis is involved with splitting the amount of chromosome in a cell in half amongst its daughter cells. Since prophase 2 occurs in the beginning of meiosis2, right after the cell has split for the first time, each cell has half of the amount of DNA that the parent cell had.

OpenStudy (naren):

Yes that's what will happen in meiosis
