@phi please help I'm not sure
@Kevin
what grapher are you using ?
phi hate to bother you but there is a guy in the math chat causing problems, please handle him
"Mathhelppls2"
i don't have one...
try wolfram http://www.wolframalpha.com/ though I expect they want you to know how to do this with a graphing calculator ?
I did but Im not sure if I picked the right graph.... @phi
copy and paste into wolfram polar plot r = 4 cos 3θ what do you get ?
Did you learn how to drawing polar roses?
Since the way to determine exact x and y value is too difficult. I'll just give you the clue about how to figure out the graph looks like from the equation. ------------------------------------------ Given the equation r = a cos (k.theta) for k = odd the number of roses = k the graph would be start from x positive : |dw:1474567713787:dw| for k = even the number of roses = 2 x k the graph would be start from x positive : |dw:1474567713787:dw| ------------------------------------------ Given the equation r = a sin (k.theta) for k = odd the number of roses =k the graph would be start from y negative : |dw:1474567943022:dw| for k = even the number of roses = 2k the graph would be start between y negative : |dw:1474568020566:dw| ----------------------------------------- Given the equation r = -a cos (k.theta) The way how to drawing graph still same with r = a cos (k.theta), but it's start from x negative ------------------------------------------ Given the equation r = -a sin (k.theta) The way how to drawing graph still same with r = a sin (k.theta), but it's start from y positive I hope you get an idea :) Your answer before is wrong.
