Please help with the last few on my daughters homework

OpenStudy (vshiroky):

For number those numbers these are the answers we got 22) .21n 23) .15x-12 24) 4 +2/3n 25) 40 -1/3n 26) 12/ n+11

OpenStudy (benji):

I assume you got number 21 right if you got number 22 right. You got them all right except for number 26. The quotient of x and 2 is \[\frac{ x }{ 2 }\] The quotient of 50% of a number and 6 is \[\frac{ .5x }{ 6 }\]

OpenStudy (benji):

So, knowing that, what would the quotient of 12% of a number and 11 be?

OpenStudy (vshiroky):

.12n/11

OpenStudy (benji):

Yep

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

If you really want to help your daughter do her homework, you should teach her, step by step, how to translate each individual word into a symbol.

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

...and then move on to translating sentences into equations...

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

This is how to build up to doing word problems.

OpenStudy (vshiroky):

I am teaching her how to do it, but I have to make sure I know what I'm doing first lol The math I do is way different from this stuff
