need precalc help will medal and fan i will attach the question
Do you have a graph?
yes i thought i attached it let me attach it again
oh It just showed the question twice. No prob
I believe it has a nonremovable discontinuity at x = 3 since they don't meet in that point.
oo ok can you help me with another one
nonremovable discontinuties are also known as jump discontinuities. You can see it as you have to jump across x=3 to get to the second graph. Your first graph approaches 3 but goes down on the negative y-axis while your other graph approaches 3 but goes up on the negative axis
sure. its been a while i took precalc but ill give it a try
i understand what your sayinng ok let me attach it
wait thats two graphs
This graph has a removable discontinuity at x = 3. Although there's a hole in the middle of the parabola, you do have a point that can cover it up. The limit exists for that solid dot at x = 3
ohh i see
i know what discontinuity and continuity s i just dont get the dots the put in there
nd the removable/nonremovable thing
How my teacher taught that to us was we had to look at various graphs and indicate if they were removable or nonremovable. Usually nonremovable discontinuities are the infinite and jump discontinuities. Removable ones' limits exists but the nonremovable discontinuities limits does not exist
OH i see well thanks for the help!
