OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):

Precision refers to how well a hypothesis matches the results the level of refinement of a measurement or group of measurements how close a set of data is to what it should be how well an experiment's results match the results of other experiments

OpenStudy (danjs):

Precision in this experiment context is how close all your different measurements are to each other. Accuracy would be how close your measurements are to a theoretical value.

OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):

So would it be the last one? @DanJS

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I agree with @DanJS and here's one way to visualize the difference between `precision` and `accuracy` http://cdn.antarcticglaciers.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/precision_accuracy.png

OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):

Hmm so im thinking B.

OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):

I mean D.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

C) `how close a set of data is to what it should be` is accuracy while D) `how well an experiment's results match the results of other experiments` is precision so you are correct @TylerMckinney16

OpenStudy (tylermckinney16):

Awesome thank you guys alot.
