PLZ help, will medal?

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

OpenStudy (wholock):

You want help with all of those questions, correct?

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

yes plz

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

@brooke..help00 ?

OpenStudy (wholock):

Okay, well the first one is C.

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

plz explain?

OpenStudy (brooke..help00):

You have to find the square roots. The first one is C. so find the numbers that you can multiply by them selves such as 2x2=4 and 4 1/2 x 4 1/2= 9

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

and what about 2,3,4

OpenStudy (wholock):

Because the square root of 8 is 2.82, the square root of 4 is 2 and the square root of 9 is 3, so that means the they would be the answer, to find the estimate, find the perfect square root on either side, which in the case of 8 is 4 and 9

OpenStudy (wholock):

2 is 36 and 49

OpenStudy (wholock):

3 is D. -9.5

OpenStudy (wholock):

And then for the last one you simple find the square root of 52, which is roughly 7.2, making the answer 7 feet.

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

THX

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

is it ok if I have for more?

OpenStudy (wholock):

Sure.

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

*four lol and thx

OpenStudy (wholock):

Np.

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

there are actually 5 oops

OpenStudy (wholock):

Okay, well this should be easy, to estimate a non-perfect square root, you use the nearest perfect ones, so for 5, you would use 4 and 9 once again.

OpenStudy (wholock):

Number 1 is C.

OpenStudy (brooke..help00):

@Wholock I need your help:/

OpenStudy (wholock):

Number two, use the nearest perfect square roots, which are 36 and 49, 6 and 7 respectively. Since 45 is closer to 49, I would go with 7

OpenStudy (wholock):

@brooke..help00 Let me finish this and I'll be right with you.

OpenStudy (wholock):

Number 3 is C, because the negative square root of 66 is -8.2, which rounds to 8

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

ohh

OpenStudy (wholock):

The square root of 3 is 1.7, but they want an estimate, so I'd pick 2, or d.

OpenStudy (wholock):

The square root of 123 is inbetween the square root of 121, which is 11, and 144 which is 12, since 123 is closer to 121, I'd say 7

OpenStudy (wholock):

Okay, @brooke..help00 how can I help you!

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

there is no 7 though :/

OpenStudy (wholock):

OMG, I'm sorry, 11.

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

lol np but TY SO MUCHHHHH

OpenStudy (wholock):

Of course! Anytime!

OpenStudy (brooke..help00):

Ok- I tagged you!
