NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

9x - 8 = ? 7x + 6 = ?

OpenStudy (romancelanguages):

do i have to calculate it? how do i do it?

OpenStudy (romancelanguages):

Why is there 2 x's @NvidiaIntely

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

I mean't x then y.

OpenStudy (romancelanguages):

do i have to solve for the "?"

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

@RomanceLanguages Are you allowed to combine digits to form double digit numbers? I think the way to go about finding the largest value of a variable is give it a small coefficient and a small constant and a large final value (like 2x + 1 = 9 is has a larger x value than 3x + 1 = 7) and vice versa for the smallest...

OpenStudy (romancelanguages):

yeah i thought it was that way

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

Well, maybe 2x + 1 = 98 would give you the largest value for x, etc.
