OpenStudy (shargrett):

Let f(x) = 2x2 − 2x + 7 and g(x) = x2 + 9x − 6. Find f(x) − g(x).

satellite73 (satellite73):

put a minus sign between them use parentheses

satellite73 (satellite73):

\[2x^2-2x+7-(x^2+9x-6)\] then distribute, combine like terms etc

OpenStudy (mhchen):

You put a minus sign between the 2 functions and subtract them like so: 2x^2 - 2x + 7 - (x^2+9x-6) Then you can simplify it. Do you know how to simplify by combining like-terms?
