The first one is the equation you presented with so that one would not be `Addition Propert of Equality but your Given.`

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Now to get from the first equation to the second one we need to see on how we get down to the second step.... \(\huge{3x-2=4}\) In order to find x we first need to get all like terms to one side....we see we have -2 and 4 on two different sides so we get those together....in order to do that we would need to add 2 to each side... \(\huge{3x(-2+2)=4+2 \rightarrow 3x=6}\) So the process we used was the `Addition Propert of Equality`.

563blackghost (563blackghost):

We see that we now need to isolate x.... \(\huge{3x=6}\) We see that `x is multiplied by 3` we would need to do the opposite in order to get x to itself...so we would `divide by 3`.... \(\huge{\frac{3x}{3}=\frac{6}{3} \rightarrow x = 2}\) What we did is `divide` so we used the `Division Propert of Equality`.

Thank you!!
