OpenStudy (alexis18kellie):

Is the equation f(x)=3x+(4/3)x^3-7 polynomial?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I'd suggest you look up the term "polynomial." You'll receive definitions and examples of polynomials. Does your "f(x)=3x+4/3x^3-7" have the form of a polynomial? If not, then what form does it have? Note: I suspect that your "4/3" is the coefficient of x. As such, you really should enclose that "4/3" in parentheses: (4/3)x, not 4/3x.

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

Yes, If you mean (4/3)x you should def use parens, I was thinking it was an algebraic fraction...
