Earth's history is characterized by static conditions that haven't changed since the Earth was formed invulnerability to anything that humans try to change long periods of fairly stable conditions interrupted by abrupt and major changes unpredictable systems that can't be analyzed
Which choices do you think we can eliminate right away?
C?
Are you asking whether C is the answer to the question or whether we can eliminate C as a possible answer?
Eliminate it it was i meant.
I'm not so sure we should eliminate that one just yet. Let's go through the other options to see if we can eliminate them. So for the first choice, 'static' means 'unchanging'. Has the Earth changed at all since it was formed?
Not really.
Really? It has changed quite a bit, actually... From Pangea (back when all continents were one) to our now separate continents, which are still moving to volcanoes erupting, creating new islands, destroying human civilizations, to all of the damage humans have done to the Earth.
True lol.
So we can eliminate the first choice. Now, for the second choice: 'invulnerable' means that it it isn't able to be harmed by humans. Is this true?
Im thinking no.
No, the Earth is quite vulnerable to humans. Some examples to show would be our atmosphere itself; we have caused so much damage, that we've caused our ozone to have holes, which results in the 'greenhouse affect' (global warming). That's just one of many examples.
So, we can also eliminate the second choice.
Now, looking at the last choice, what do you think? Can Earth's history be analyzed?
Yeah it can be analyzed.
Hmm wait.
You're right, it can be analyzed. Scientists can examine fossils to help analyze what Earth was like back in those days.
Ok cool.
So, we can eliminate that one. What does that leave us with?
C
That's right. Do you know why C is correct though?
Yeah thanks :)
You're welcome. (: Let me know if you need help with anything else.
Im posting more questions u can come help.
