Circuit:

The sources confuse me.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

What specifically do you need to know?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

There's more than one formula for power; what are 2 of them?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Erratum: My "The current is 3 ma; no need to calculate it. Also, the voltages given are the voltages given; no need to calculate them." was partially wrong. One of the voltage sources has a constant output; the output of the other is a multiple of the indicated voltage V_sub_x. Sorry about that. Now, what are formulas for power?

OpenStudy (trojanpoem):

Pw = VI = V^2/R = I^2 R = I^2/G = V^2/G = W/t = and so on

OpenStudy (trojanpoem):

Why would I say that the output of the current source is dominant ? and it's the current flowing into the circuit ?

OpenStudy (trojanpoem):

is that because the connection is series ?

OpenStudy (retireed):

Yes, the circuit loop can only be 3 mA. Think of it as governor on a motor.

OpenStudy (trojanpoem):

Oh , ok, so that means too that I can not connect two different current sources as the connection won't be series anymore.

OpenStudy (trojanpoem):

Thanks retirEEd . Thanks mathmale.
