I have a question with this sample probability.. Please help, I will give you a shiny medal :> It deals with genes, but I'm not sure why I got it wrong for the sample possibilities :(

OpenStudy (lacris):

OpenStudy (lacris):

Since, both parents have the genes, Ss and Ss ( I did a punnet square) wouldn't you get: SS, Ss Ss, ss?

OpenStudy (lacris):

|dw:1475912993592:dw|

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yes i think you are correct, however, the second "Ss" may be redundant. It may want you to answer with the 3 possible genotypes ---> SS,Ss,ss

OpenStudy (mww):

^yes Ss appears twice on the Punnett square and thus have a probability of 2/4 = 1/2 chance. but Ss is one genotype, don't need to write it a second time

OpenStudy (lacris):

Oh, I see, but when I put, SS, Ss, ss, it was incorrect still. :c

OpenStudy (lacris):

oh wait, the answer was SS, Ss, ss, sS... :/ I don't think the answer was correct..

OpenStudy (lacris):

But I see now that I had to write the two different outcomes, thank you all so much! :)

OpenStudy (mww):

it's just a different order. I guess sort of the difference between heads and tails or tails and heads. But really pedantic...

OpenStudy (lacris):

Ahh! I see, thank you very much for your explanation! :) I see now what I didn't get before. c:
