OpenStudy (ivitt):

Is this a translation or rotation. Yes or no.

OpenStudy (ivitt):

OpenStudy (will.h):

What do you think? Note that in translation cases 1 rule would apply to all coordinates/points And in rotation there are certain rules apply. So what u think so far. Have u solved any of it

OpenStudy (mellamokatie):

I think its a translation

OpenStudy (mellamokatie):

Before I said the options I thought about each kind of rotation like a reflection and I think its a translation.

OpenStudy (ivitt):

@Will.H I think it's a reflection across the x axis

OpenStudy (will.h):

Reflection across x axis means (x,y) --> (x, -y) In the original figure we have a point of (6,1) and it's post image is (-6,-1) If we apply reflection across x axis Then the point would turn to (6,-1) Which is wrong

OpenStudy (will.h):

It is no reflection anyway

OpenStudy (ivitt):

Is it a reflection across the y axis

OpenStudy (will.h):

It's either rotation or translation

OpenStudy (will.h):

Don't make speculation. Let's solve it

OpenStudy (ivitt):

Okay thanks

OpenStudy (will.h):

You still want to solve this or no?

OpenStudy (rcp031):

More Plausible answer: Translation and Rotation of Axis: Changing the position of both the "axes" and the origin without changing the "Unit Length" Question had 6 units of base & 6 units of height. Hence it was possible to Rotate and translate about a origin of graph.
