What is the equation of a vertical line passing through (−5, −2)? x = −5 y = −2 x = −7 y = −3

OpenStudy (shesolitt):

my answer is A -5

yep because|dw:1476141252182:dw|

OpenStudy (shesolitt):

yes thats what i got. thankssss

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

A vertical(up and down) line(straight slope) passing through (-5, -2) A vertical line would go up and down through one point. Which would intercept the x axis at only one point. The point this line goes through, is (-5, -2) with the x point being -5. So that must been that that is the one point that this line intercepts the x axis. x = -5

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Just explaining the reasoning for others that need help with this question, and look it up c;
