Which of the following is an equivalent form of the compound inequality −22 > −5x − 7 ≥ −3? −5x − 7 < −22 and −5x − 7 ≥ −3 −5x − 7 > −22 and −5x − 7 ≥ −3 −5x > −22 and −7 ≥ −3 −5x − 7 < −22 and −5x − 7 ≤ −3

A. −5x − 7 < −22 and −5x − 7 ≥ −3 We know it has to be A or D because since −22 (>) −5x − 7 that means −5x − 7 (<) −22 And the problem say that the 1st equation is ≥ than the other so the same sign still applies. ♥

OpenStudy (firechild17):

ok so i think its A

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

Agreed.

OpenStudy (firechild17):

thanks
