physics help?!?!!?

In a relatively simple problem such as this one, you can calculate DISTANCE by multiplying VELOCITY by TIME: d=vt. You should mark the starting point by placing a dot at (0,0).

OpenStudy (mathmale):

At the beginning, when you're at (0,0), the velocity suddenly becomes -3 meters/sec, meaning that you're "backing up, for 2 sec. You need to plot this on the 2nd graph.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

You can also use the values on the velocity graph as the slope of the position graph.

OpenStudy (summerncaela):

@mathmale alright

OpenStudy (mathmale):

The 2nd graph displays displacement versus time. If the initial velocity is negative, then your displacement has to be negative (downward on the graph). If positive, then positive (upward on the graph). Try your best, do what you can, ask questions after that.
