Help

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

If m∠ NQM= 2x + 8 and m∠ PQR= x+22, find the value of x

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

@Eiwoh

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

@mikey

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

@Unavailabilityy

OpenStudy (3mar):

May I help?

OpenStudy (mikey):

i was about to say @3mar

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

@3mar of course

OpenStudy (mikey):

that stuff is out of my league, SORRY

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thank you, mikey!

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

@mikey its okay

OpenStudy (3mar):

As illustrated in the figure, the two angles are equal. ok?

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

ok

OpenStudy (3mar):

So you can equate the the two magnitudes of these two angles and create an equation. Please share your work and show me where you reached!

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

How do I equare the magnitudes of these angels to create an equation

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

equate

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

sorry I'm really bad at this

OpenStudy (3mar):

What is the magnitude of the first angle?

OpenStudy (3mar):

ha?

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thank you for the medal! But we did not finnish yet!

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

I don't know what does that mean

OpenStudy (3mar):

You said: "If m∠ NQM= 2x + 8 and" what that means?

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

it equals 2?

OpenStudy (3mar):

you mean x?

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

yes x equals 2?

OpenStudy (3mar):

So you need check?

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

what do I need to check?

OpenStudy (3mar):

x does not equal to 2

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

ok then can you show me how to do this because i have no idea what Im doing

OpenStudy (3mar):

ok

OpenStudy (3mar):

As m∠ NQM= 2x + 8 and m∠ PQR= x+22, and these two angles are equal in magnitudes, then we can express the following \[2x+8=x+22\] then solve for x \[2x+8-x=x+22-x\] \[x+8=22\] \[x+8-8=22-8\] \[x=14\] EASY, is not it?

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

Thank you! You just saved my life

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

It makes perfect sense :)

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thank you for the medal!

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thank you for learning!!

OpenStudy (3mar):

I will help as much as I know and as I can.

OpenStudy (3mar):

Can we start in new post, please?

OpenStudy (blahblahh):

Ok @3mar
