OpenStudy (ryleepaisley10):

What tool(s) would you need to use if you are going to make the measurements necessary to calculate the density of a rock? (2 points) balance scale and crucible graduated cylinder and balance crucible and graduated cylinde

OpenStudy (ryleepaisley10):

I'm thinking B. Im pretty sure you use a scale, but I'm unsure about the crucible part.

OpenStudy (brooke..help00):

I'm thinking B too.. Confused about crudicle..

OpenStudy (mikey):

i would go with b

OpenStudy (ryleepaisley10):

Ok thanks both.

OpenStudy (brooke..help00):

Please fan @mikey he can help amazingly!

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Density = mass / volume Think of what you need to measure mass and volume

OpenStudy (mikey):

fan @brooke..help00 as well she knows more than me

OpenStudy (ryleepaisley10):

Fanned you both! :)

OpenStudy (mikey):

:)

OpenStudy (brooke..help00):

:)

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

What about "C" graduated cylinder and balance?

OpenStudy (ryleepaisley10):

Wolf- you use graduated cylinder for volume and balance for mass. Would that be the answer?

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

I'd say I think it is "C"

OpenStudy (mikey):

tell us whos wrong @ryleepaisley10

OpenStudy (ryleepaisley10):

This is hard....

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

If you choose "B" - a crucible does NOT measure volume.

OpenStudy (ryleepaisley10):

I do believe I'll go with C just because it does make more sense.

OpenStudy (3mar):

"graduated cylinder" to determine the volume "balance" to measure the mass then \[density=\frac{ mass }{ volume }\]Done!

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Okay 3mar, now we have 2 that choose "C"

OpenStudy (ryleepaisley10):

Thanks all!

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

rylee - what is the answer?

OpenStudy (brooke..help00):

Yeah ok I agree too. I was confused about the crucible..

OpenStudy (sooobored):

i thought a crucible was a small ceramic pot in which you burn stuff in for chemistry

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

correct sooobored and I think riley has left the building

OpenStudy (mikey):

possible
