`Paterson’s plan that all states had equal powers no matter how small or population of the state. There would be no power to veto laws.` This was in my school book for US history.

OpenStudy (torvela):

I already know what the New Jersey plan is The wording of the options is what's confusing me

OpenStudy (torvela):

563blackghost what you said before doesn't really help me because I'm confused by the wording of the questions

OpenStudy (torvela):

This stupid site is useless!!!!

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

Goodness gracious, hold your temper. It takes someone longer than 2 minutes to find and respond to a question you know. The question says which would be an argument *for* the plan. Which of the options sounds the most like a good thing?

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

If you are still interested. The idea of independent states was at the heart of the revolution. We had fought against a strong national government. Most people didn't like the idea of someone who didn't live in their state having authority over them. Some states had more people, but that didn't mean population would change. And states could claim more land. Anyway, one state, one vote. Makes sense if you think of all states being independent and equal.
