In “Mending Wall,” the neighbor tells the speaker, “Good fences make good neighbors.” What does he mean by that? He believes establishing boundaries helps preserve relationships. All the other neighbors have fences on their property. He needs a fence to keep his cows from wandering away. He has had problems with other landowners in the past.
Think about it this way. Are any of the reasons listed the same as reasons why you might want to have a fence separating your land from that of a neighbor?
I didn't get this question either
I don't get how this is a mathematics question.
It is a perimeter problem in disguise - the boundary concept. That is how I view it. Take a look at: Intersections -- Poetry with Mathematics Read Sandburg's "Number Man" https://poetrywithmathematics.blogspot.com/2012/03/prayer-of-numbers.html
you would if you read the book tkhunny its a math book
JK its poem with some math involved in wall building
The pointless mathematics only cheapen the poetry. It is not a math book, at all, just a silly pursuit. Clearly, I'm not the target audience.
