In the red circle for the example, why is for all \[n \ge 1 \] when n = 0?

Agree! It is probably meant to be n\(\ge\)0. However, for proving convergence of the sum, it could have been n\(\ge\)1, 2, 3 or 4, and the proof would be still valid. Convergence is not affected by the addition of some number of constants.
