OpenStudy (narissa):

@Jamierox4ev3r I'm not sure about this one.

OpenStudy (narissa):

OpenStudy (narissa):

I know that neutrons are neutral and have no net charge. So that should be the answer right? I honestly am Kind of confused.

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

hmmm...I feel like this has something to do with shielding, have you covered this topic in class?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

well if there's a negative charge of 3 in the orbitals, something has to cancel that out in order for the atom to be neutral.

OpenStudy (narissa):

Hm If we did cover it in class I sure dont remember.

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

But looking at the answer choices, which is the only one that cancels out a negative 3 charge?

OpenStudy (narissa):

A or D? D maybe?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

ah but remember the locations of protons. They will always be in the nucleus

OpenStudy (narissa):

OOOOHHH Okay yeah its A thank you!

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

no problem! :) This one had me thinking a bit

OpenStudy (narissa):

Finally! I can take the quiz I got 100% Thank you!!

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):
