If you roll a single die 10 times and get odd numbers every time, what is the probability you will get a "4" on the next roll? Write the equation for the probability of flipping a coin 5 times and getting at least one head? You are dealt 5 cards from a deck of 52 cards, write the equation for the probability (without replacement) if getting four kings in a row and then a queen?
do you know what independent events are..?
Nope, they're 3 different questions.
I realise that, the 1st question needs knowledge of independent events to be able to answer it.
Hm, this is from a quiz there's nothing else to the question it stands alone
I fully inderstand what you are saying, the quiz is testing your knowledge of the topic. So my question is... In your study of probability, do your have any understanding of the term independent events... Independent events is the key to being able to answer the 1st question
if you don't understand independent events here is a simple definition of both dependent events and independent events https://www.mathsisfun.com/data/probability-events-independent.html
the 2nd question can be answered by having an understanding of complementary events. the 3rd question needs an understanding of selection with out replacement and the multiplication property of probabilities
