Write a brief essay describing some of the ways the Romans adapted and adopted Greek culture to form Greco-Roman culture. Choose two of the categories below and give specific examples that include Greek influences on Roman achievements. • Religion (aspects the Romans copied or adapted) • Literature (Roman writers and how their works were similar to or different from Greek works) • Sculpture and painting (Greek conventions and Roman developments) • Architecture (Greek design influences and Roman innovations)

Does this sound good......... The more the romans learned about Greek culture, they started adapting to their ideas and adopting many of their traditions. The romans borrowed many ideas on literature, religion, architecture, and art. For instance the pantheon of gods worshiped by Romans. The romans used Greek deities as models for their imitation of their own gods. For example they took names like Zeus (The king of Greek gods) and put a roman twist on the name and turned into Jupiter (The king of roman gods). Even Aphrodite (The Greek goddess of love) became known to the Romans as Venus. Roman architecture was based off of Greek design. Buildings like the Pantheon, Colosseum, Trajan’s Forum, and Aqueducts where all influence by the Greeks.

I would reword a few things.

OpenStudy (narissa):

I'm not so good at writing I'm in 10th grade and put a summary together like a 5th grader :/

OpenStudy (narissa):

But I try even though I end up embarrassing myself..

OpenStudy (narissa):

What sentences should I reword?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

For example, you can say, "As the Romans learned more about Greek culture, they began to adopt their ideals and cultural practices."

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Make some of your ideals more concise :)

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Your writing is not that bad! Just use less repetitive writing structure, that's all

OpenStudy (narissa):

Thank you when I'm done can you please check it for me?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

OpenStudy (narissa):

OpenStudy (narissa):

okay :)

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

As the Romans learned more about Greek culture, they began to adopt their ideals and cultural practices. As a result, the Romans started becoming influenced by Greek culture, seen by adopting ideas such as, literature, religion, architecture, and art. For example, the Romans worshiped the Pantheon of Gods, as the Greeks did. Romans also used Greek deities as models for their imitation of their own Gods. They also took names like Zeus (King of Greek gods) and put a roman twist on the name and turned into Jupiter (The king of roman gods). Even Aphrodite (The Greek goddess of love) became known to the Romans as Venus. Another example of this influence was seen in Roman architecture, which was based off of Greek design. Many prominent structures such as the Pantheon, Colosseum, Trajan’s Forum, and Aqueducts were all influenced by Greek culture. Therefore, the Greeks had a great impact of the lives of the Romans.

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):
