@TGstudios

OpenStudy (tgstudios):

I had to abandon my last question to help you

OpenStudy (jakob):

If a line crosses the y-axis at (0, 1) and has a slope of 45, what is the equation of the line? 4y − 5x = 5 y − 4x = 5 5y + 4x = 5 5y − 4x = 5

OpenStudy (tgstudios):

XD the question is below yours

OpenStudy (jakob):

Lol

OpenStudy (jakob):

Alright what do I do.. Step one

OpenStudy (5sos):

Do you want my help on this one as well?

OpenStudy (tgstudios):

yes plz...

OpenStudy (jakob):

Ummmmm sure you two double team it plz

OpenStudy (tgstudios):

ok I have to go for 20 minutes or so... might be back

OpenStudy (5sos):

Are you sure the slope is 45 and not 20?

OpenStudy (jakob):

4/5 not 45

OpenStudy (jakob):

Sorry Lol

OpenStudy (5sos):

Ok that makes a lot more sense IT;s fine no one is perfect. We all make mistakes. :)

OpenStudy (5sos):

So it crosses at (0,1) which means 1 is the y intercept or b Also the slope is 4/5 so that would be m Plug it in and you get: y=4/5x+1 Then you need to convert it to which of the equations above?

OpenStudy (jakob):

How do I do that?

OpenStudy (5sos):

Ok sorry about that!

OpenStudy (jakob):

Lol it is fine

OpenStudy (5sos):

Pick which one you think it might be and we will work it out and see if it is correct. Okay?

OpenStudy (jakob):

Ummmmm A

OpenStudy (5sos):

OK so what you do is add 5x to each side whihc will give you 4y=5x+5 then divide by 4 and you get y=5/4x+5 SO thats not the answer Try another one

OpenStudy (jakob):

C

OpenStudy (5sos):

OK so what you do is subtract 5x form each side whihc will give you 4y=-5x+5 then divide by 4 and you get y=-4/5x+5 SO thats not the answer Try another one

OpenStudy (jakob):

B

OpenStudy (5sos):

Agh you are killing me!! XD

OpenStudy (5sos):

It wouldnt be that one becasue the slope tursn out to be5/4 not 4/5

OpenStudy (jakob):

Sorry I am not very good at graphing or math in general

OpenStudy (5sos):

It would be D: |dw:1477499592221:dw|
