OpenStudy (gigi1103):

How many chlorine (Cl) atoms would be in 4 molecules of salt (4 NaCl)?

OpenStudy (osprey):

One possible answer is 4 because the chem formula is NaCl. HOWEVER there is COULD be another. NaCl is an IONIC compound, and, a such, it doesn't actually form molecules, I don't think. Depending on the level of the q, depends on how much further thought I'd give it. http://perendis.webs.com

OpenStudy (pah001):

(6.02*10^23)*4

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

The wording of the question isn't perfect, since they'd be chlorine ions not atoms, and NaCl is an ionic compound, with no molecules. But still, there'd be four chlorine ions.
