OpenStudy (zyberg):

Find the roots of equation: (4x^2 + 12x)^2 - (2x + 3)^2 = 63

OpenStudy (samantha2234):

Try mathway or wolfram.com they both help me tremendously!!!

OpenStudy (zyberg):

I don't think that I am supposed to expand with this problem. At least not fully. Both wolfram and mathway expand every square that they see.

OpenStudy (samantha2234):

O.O Oh

OpenStudy (misty1212):

HI!!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

maybe try a substitution?

OpenStudy (misty1212):

try \[z=2x+3\]

OpenStudy (zyberg):

@misty1212 I thought of doing that, however I am not sure about (4x^2 + 12x)^2 part. It would leave x there, and substitution shouldn't allow that..
