I need some help, I don't just want the answer, I want to figure this out. It's a simple trigonometric function set up, it is attached in comments.

If I may help?

OpenStudy (wholock):

PLEASE

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thank you.

OpenStudy (3mar):

Can you represent the theta on a right triangle?

OpenStudy (wholock):

I'm not sure,

OpenStudy (wholock):

I think I'm suppose to take and divide (5/3) by sec to isolate theta

OpenStudy (3mar):

What sec represents?

OpenStudy (wholock):

Secant is the reciprocal of cosine, sec = 1/cos

OpenStudy (3mar):

\[\sec \theta=\frac{ 1 }{ \cos \theta }=\frac{ hyp }{ adj }\]

OpenStudy (wholock):

So if sec = 5/3, then I would undo the reciprocal to get 3/5, giving me the hypotenuse and adjacent?
