how would you find slope from two points

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

Easy! I'm going to use desmos.com for this, so I will share links on here..

OK

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

so, let's say you had a graph like this: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/scodtaaqle

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

You would find the slope by the y-intercept (y is up, x is down) y intercept: (0, 6) x-intercept: (3, 0)

OpenStudy (cookie_2046):

OK, THANKS

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

You have to go down 12 to get to the same level as the x-intercept. This means that the slope will be negative. Then, you have to go across 6. this makes Slope equals:\[-\frac{ 12 }{ 6 }\] which is simply -2. Slope= -2 plz turn off caps lol

OpenStudy (brainzonly):

make an account with desmos. :) super helpful, solves equations and stuff, makes tables, etc... anyway have fun! :D
