Redux Question: When I log out of OpenStudy, why is it that my image stays behind?
The problem is for online users seeking help who *think* helpers are online and tag them for help. No help comes but PMs such as "why won't you help me" do arrive. Baffling to me is that some OS users actually are able to log out and be gone. (Hotel OpenStudy: You can check in but you cannot check out. )

@Jaynator495 I hope you can re-code this. Yet, the error seems inconsistent. There are those who always can log out and be gone without a trace. Then, there are those of us who can log out but not without leaving a trace behind.
This is 70/30 server/client side respectively, I've been investigating this bug for a while, but haven't had evidence to back it up, especially since I can't check server side code (Maybe one day I will be able to)... But I think I have traced the issue back to at least one (of many) causes, including fans... however there are many reasons for this... Theoretically if I could track all the causes client side for it, i could partially patch it in my extension... but to fully patch it i would need to be able to fix the client/server code. In other words: All I have are theory's without solid proof until i can see what is going on server side @5ever
I believe it could also even be 100% client side, and that when a question/fan is loaded it may not realize that the user is offline... It could be how they are defining users in some events... There's a lot of unknowns, and unless i can probe around to figure it out, chances are it will remain a mystery...
It could even be server side the server not recognizing the user ACTUALLY went offline, or at least enough to remove them from the online field in a subject under certain conditions, however it will still update the user field to say they are offline, rather then online... Client side however if such a miscommunication should happen, i suppose i could make something to remove them from the list if they are offline... but you would have to click them to make them disappear... Things are a lot harder to fix through my extension, as i have to think of clever work around's for everything as a lot of the code is in anonymous functions, and taking it out of that scope to change the function breaks everything.
maybe you're hacked maybe ghosts
