I need quick help on inequality

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

im thinking c but in more sure

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

@ShadowLegendX

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

@Elsa213

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

He wants the total cost to be under 50. So the correct graph would be saying Total Cost lower than 50 It will not be equal to 50, or have a shaded/closed dot.

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

okay

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

B and D are immediately incorrect as we're looking for a number line in relation to 50, not 5

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

A is a number line with a dot, saying that the total cost is lower than 30. But is that what we're looking for?

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

to be honest i don't really know, i haven't ever studied inequality so i don't know. :/

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

@jabez177

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

@5ever

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

You should really review the earliest lessons on inequalities.

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

This question is extremely basic

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

i don't have any lessons on it. this is he first time iv'e ever seen inequality.

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Well, here is what you need to know. The third number line, is saying that x is anything from in-between zero and 50.

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

x in our case, being the total cost

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

oh

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Doesn't this represent our situation, as if Owen buys a book, it will surely be over zero, but, we wants it to be less than 50 dollars at the total cost of the amount of books he buys

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

he*

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

yeah

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

thanks so much for the help @ShadowLegendX

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

What answer did you choose :)

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

c

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Good, glad I could help

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

do you think you can help with my last one

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

i can just tag you. :D
