If I may help?

OpenStudy (3mar):

For the first sequence: the rule is \[\huge a_n=-7+5n\]

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

3 and 6 are correct. For problem 7, you are asked to find \(S_{25}\). That is not the same as \(a_{25}\), the 25th term. \(S_{25}\) is the sum of all the terms up to and including the 25th term.

OpenStudy (3mar):

for the 25th, just substitute with 25 in the formula, you get \[\huge a_{25}=-7+5(25)=113\]

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

For problem 7, you can use the formula below for the sum of the terms of an arithmetic sequence. \(\large S_n = \dfrac{n(a_1 + a_n)}{2} \)
