Which describes a way in which Russia’s geography influenced the development of its civilization? A. West-flowing rivers connected it economically and culturally the Western Europe B. The Ural Mountains and the Eurasian plain kept Russia culturally and economically isolated C. South-flowing rivers connected it economically and culturally to the Byzantine empire D. Its southern steppe region allowed it to grow so much grain that it became a leading food exporter

OpenStudy (hope.dream):

I think it's B

alones (alones):

Honestly, I'm not sure about this one.

OpenStudy (hope.dream):

neither am I

OpenStudy (hope.dream):

ya maybe

OpenStudy (hope.dream):

@EclipsedStar @Ms-Brains can either of you help?

Awolflover1 (awolflover1):

Well I don't think it can be D

OpenStudy (hope.dream):

okay how so?

Awolflover1 (awolflover1):

hmm this is a hard one @jabez177 @EclipsedStar you guys are good at history ;~;

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

From my understanding, Russia wasn't a land with really good soil for farming...at the time China was the leading country to do so despite all the dynasties. So in this case I also agree with B.

OpenStudy (osprey):

Full house coming up ... I suspect it's B also. Whether D fits with the Ukraine as "the breadbasket of europe" I don't know, but when the weather blows from the East into Europe, it's coooooooold. Poland, and every country between the central Steppes of Russia basically is brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
