OpenStudy (alina123):

if i have a point f(x) = (3,5) and the transformation is g(x) = f(1/2x)+1 whats my new point?

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

do u have a screenshot this is hard to decipher

OpenStudy (alina123):

No i sadly dont

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

ask @sweetburger

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

i have to go

OpenStudy (alina123):

im thinking (1.5,6)

OpenStudy (alina123):

or would we do f of 3 then just add 1

OpenStudy (steve816):

I'm thinking (6, 6) Because f(1/2x) would be a horizontal stretch and the +1 is a transformation of 1 unit up.

OpenStudy (alina123):

i know plus 1 makes the y value change but i think your right

OpenStudy (alina123):

but horizontal makes it wider meaning it should be a half right not times 2
