Quick question about notation for integrals.

OpenStudy (steve816):

If I have an integral like this, \[\large \int\limits_{a}^{b}2x+3~dx\] Do I have to put parenthesis around the 2x+3?

Hayhayz (hayhayz):

nah its implied

zepdrix (zepdrix):

I guess it's proper to put parenthesis, but I never do :p

OpenStudy (steve816):

Ahh, alright, that's good to know.

Hayhayz (hayhayz):

sometimes we even see this notation

zepdrix (zepdrix):

The placement of the dx should make it clear enough.
